Our People’s Participation Labs are a space for people to learn how to build community power towards system change! Join for fun, community-building, and collaborative conversations.
During our PPL we will focus on how these initiatives, all put forward by a conservative multimillionaire, work to dismantle justice and dignity for trans youth and working class families. I-001 and I-638 would harm trans-youth by forcing schools to disclose confidential information, including outing them to their families, and making genital examinations or costly blood or chromosomal tests mandatory for all girls to participate in elementary, middle, and high school sports.
I-645 would repeal the millionaires tax, leading to cuts to current programs working families depend on, as well as removing the future funding possibilities that would increase livelihood for millions Washingtonians. Please come to our PPL on Thursday to learn more about how you can take action to defeat these initiatives!
Please RSVP so we can provide enough snacks and drinks for everyone. If you can't make it to the Participation Lab and want to learn more about how I-001 and I-638 would harm trans youth, No Hate in Washington State has more information here. If you'd like to learn more about how I-645 will harm working class families please check this website.
Thank you for being a part of our movement for food and farmworker justice.
