People's Participation Lab

  • 1319 Cornwall Ave Suite 101 Bellingham, WA, 98226 United States (map)

Our People’s Participation Labs are a space for people to learn how to build community power towards system change! Join for fun, community-building, and collaborative conversations.

We hope you can join us this Thursday for an important People’s Participation Lab (PPL)- the third in our series of learning about the federal H-2A visa program, how it displaces local farmworkers, and moves our food system towards slavery. This PPL is important as we will look directly at H-2A contracts and have a chance to commit together to taking action to oppose the expansion of H-2A contracts in our community later this summer!

This week we will look directly at H-2A contracts so we can deepen our knowledge of the conditions H-2A workers face. Building our understanding will give us the words to tell more people in our community why everyone should oppose the H-2A program.

Even if you were not able to join us at either of our last two Participation Labs we hope you can join us Thursday!

Please RSVP if you can join so we can be sure to have enough snacks and beverages!
