Introducing the 2026 Whatcom County Primary Election Candidate Zine

Our long-term goal is to strengthen community decision making processes by analyzing candidates and issues based on shared values and movement priorities.

Our Participatory Democracy team gathered input and wrote questions relating to climate, food sovereignty, housing and land access, and labor justice. We emailed the questionnaire to all candidates on the 2026 Whatcom County primary election ballot.

This zine compiles their unedited responses along with community made art. One way that we are working to make electoral politics more accessible and inspiring is by including art made by community members. We provided the following prompts for art contributions: How does voting impact your community? What does the world that you want to see look like?

We hope this zine helps you familiarize yourself with the people who might represent you!

This zine is intended as a resource for voters in Whatcom County to learn more about candidates’ positions on issues that are important to C2C. This zine is not intended as an endorsement or recommendation for any candidates or positions.
